• See your primary care physician before the trip.
  • Write out a concise health record with emergency contact listed and keep it with you.
  • Fill your prescription medications and make sure you have an adequate supply.
  • Pack copies of pharmaceutical prescriptions, eyeglass or contacts prescriptions, health insurance cards.
  • If you have a hearing aid, take extra batteries.
  • Take an emergency kit: band aids, imodium, Pepto Bismol tablets, ibuprofen, anti-bacterial cream.
  • Wipe down places that carry germs:  armrests, doorknobs, television remote, telephone with anti-bacterial wipes. Do not touch places that carry germs.
  • Wash your hands often and do not touch your face.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Keep your seatbelt on in the airplane
  • Be careful when crossing streets especially where cars  drive on a different side of the road.
  • Wear sunscreen and a hat.
  • If you do get sick do something about it as soon as you can.
